Hall Lands His Legends Car In Victory Lane For First Time In 2007
Last week in the Summer Shootout at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (NC) was a race Kyle Hall wanted to forget.  After being involved in a wreck on the track, his car had to be hauled off by a wrecker as it was too damaged to drive off the track.  But this week, even though his car ended up suffering damage throughout the event, Hall’s fortune was reversed as he won his first Legends Semi-Pro race of the 2007 Summer Shootout season.

Hall started the race from mid pack, and was immediately involved in an incident that damaged his car.
“I’m not sure what happened,” said Hall.  “Since we started 16th we had to do a little bumping and beating to get up there.  I think a couple of cars got together and I didn’t really have anywhere to go and the guys behind me didn’t have anywhere to go.”

Hall worked his way up towards the front, but on a restart he got too good of a jump, according to officials.

“On the next to last restart, we were in fifth and chose on the outside,” said Hall.  “We ended up second and on the restart I thought we just got an awesome jump but evidently we jumped it too much and they penalized me two positions for that.  I was pretty upset with that but our car was really good so I figured we could get it back up there so on the next restart.”
Hall was able to work his way back up to the lead and the win.  His victory put Hall in the points lead with two races to go in the new Sizzler points chase at the Shootout.

“It feels amazing, there’s really nothing like it.  We’ve had some bad luck and bad finishes in the past. Tonight the car was good, we put a lot of work in this car and we finally got a win and it feels awesome.

“When we first came into the Sizzler, we decided we were going to push the issue of finishing in the front.  We’re going for nothing but wins.  I think I might have the lead now so I’m going to try to get constant top-five finishes and I’m definitely going to pushing to win the next races.”

Kyle Hall will return to Lowe’s Motor Speedway (NC) for the ninth round of the Summer Shootout series in his #69 Semi-Pro Legends car as the points leader on Tuesday, July 31st.  Before he goes for the Shootout championship, Hall will be back behind the wheel of his #69 Late Model Stock Car at Old Dominion Speedway (VA) on Saturday, July 28th.
